Service League Events I The Okmulgee Service League would like to notify the community they have postponed their annual fundraiser.  The event is tentatively scheduled for May 9, and any changes will be announced. Additionally, the Service League Easter Egg hunt has been canceled. 

Okmulgee County Health Department I Due to COVID 19 precautions all services are by appointment only.   Please call 918-756-1883 to schedule.

City of Okmulgee Notices
Parks and Playgrounds I Playground equipment at the parks will be closed to public use during the current conditions of the pandemic.  Park paths will remain open. The downtown exercise facility is also closed to the public
• The City of Okmulgee will not hold the free burn scheduled for April. 
• Okmulgee Landfill will be closing to the general public as of Monday, April 6,  until further notice. This does not affect commercial dumping.

B.A.L.L. Group | The Be Active Live Longer Group meetings, usually held the first Monday of each month, are cancelled until further notice.

Property Tax Deadline | Deadline to pay the second half of our property taxes as been extended to April 15.Treasurer Vonna Lampkins  says if you paid the first half of your taxes by the deadline, then you will not be charged any penalties and interest. However, if you failed to pay the first deadline, then you will be charged penalties and interest from the date those began accruing.

NARFE I The NARFE meeting planned for April 9 is cancelled and all meetings are postponed until further notice.

YMCA | The YMCA is closed until April 16. Any other changes in programs or reopening date will be announced when available.

Okmulgee Chamber of Commerce | The Okmulgee Chamber of Commerce Office is  closed until further notice. 

Legislative Forum | The monthly Legislative Forum has been cancelled for April. Information on the May meeting will be announced as soon as it is made available.

Republican Party Meeting | There will be no meeting of the Okmulgee County Republicans during April.

Open Gate | Open Gate’s Food Program on Wednesdays have been cancelled until further notice.

Hoffman Fellowship | The community fellowship is currently postponed until further notice.

DAV | Disabled American Veterans representative Gloria Deleon’s visits have been cancelled until further notice.

VFW Post 1189 Events | VFW Post 1189 Bean Dinner for April has been cancelled. VFW Post 1189 Auxiliary Election of officers is also cancelled.

Salvation Army Pantry Donations | Donations for the Salvation Army Food Pantry may be made during regular hours at the Family Store, located on 8th Street.  All donations are greatly appreciated.

Okmulgee Schools
Okmulgee Schools will be running their bus routes at 10:45 a.m. Monday through Thursday for breakfast and lunch deliveries.
On Friday, lunch is available at Eastside Baptist Church, 3rd and Osage, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.

Beggs Schools
Beggs Public Schools offers a grab and go breakfast and lunch until further notice.  There are four locations to pick up meals:  Begg Elementary School, First Baptist Church parking lot, Henson's Feed parking lot, and 16/75 junction (TJ's) parking lot. Buses will be used at the off campus locations. Pickup for both meals are from 9 to 10 a.m. Pickup for meals at the elementary will be in the drop off line. At all locations, please stay in your vehicle and staff will bring meals out to you.
